Jomar DDNS Configuration Guide

How to configure devices for Jomar DDNS

If the USG is behind a NAT device, you must add a custom configuration to force it to use the source IP.

Download custom config file here. If your WAN interface is not eth0, modify file as needed.

Place config file in /srv/unifi/data/sites/default/ if this is the default site. Otherwise it must go into the site folder for the site.

Check IP address for Jomar DDNS update server, dynupdate.jomarddns.com. Click here.
Login to Sophos XG Firewall
Navigate to Configure -> Network -> DNS
Scroll down to "DNS Host Entry" and click Add
Configure Hostname:
1. Host/Domain Name: members.dyndns.org
2. Entry Type: Manual
3. IP Address: [IP Address from Step 1]
4. Time to Live (seconds): 60
5. Publish on WAN: unchecked
6. Reverse DNS Lookup: unchecked
Click Save
Navigate to Configure -> Network -> Dynamic DNS
Click Add
Configure:
1. Hostname: [ddnshostname].jomarddns.com
2. Interface: Select WAN Interface
3. IPv4 Address:
  1. Select "Use Port IP" if firewall has routable IP address assigned to WAN interface specified in step 9B.
  2. Select "NATed Public IP" if firewall is behind a NAT device.
4. IP Edit Checking Interval: 20 minutes
5. Service Provider: DynDns
6. Login Name: [groupname]%3Ajomarsystems
7. Password: [grouppassword]
